Author Stefanie Freele will be at Gallery Bookshop on Friday, June 29th to talk about her work as a fiction editor and writer, and to read from her latest book, Surrounded by Water.
Stefanie was born and raised in Wisconsin, and currently lives in the Northwest US. Surrounded by Water is her second short story collection. Her short story collection Feeding Strays, released by Lost Horse Press, was a finalist for both the Book of the Year Award and thew 2010 Binghamton University John Gardner Fiction Award.
Stefanie is the fiction editor of the Los Angeles Review. She has a MFA in fiction from the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts: Whidbey Writers Workshop in Washington. She was named the Healdsburg (yes, our Healdsburg) Literary Laureate for 2010-2011.
